What is SMOC MCP and how do I connect it to Claude, Cursor, or VS Code?

SMOC MCP (Model Context Protocol) exposes your company's SMOC data to AI clients over https://api.smoc.ai/mcp. Access is confined to your tenant. Keys are read-only by default; writes including inbox send are opt-in.

Supported clients include:

• Claude on the web and desktop — open Customize, then + Add, paste https://api.smoc.ai/mcp, and either sign in as a company admin or send an API key as a Bearer request header. ChatGPT — Settings → Apps → Create, paste the same endpoint, and sign in as a company admin. ChatGPT has no API key field.
• Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and other MCP-capable editors.

Setup summary:

• Generate a key under Settings → Integrations → MCP in SMOC Console. You can optionally name it and set an expiry. Copy it immediately — it is shown only once. Issued keys are listed on that page so you can revoke them later.
• Add the MCP server URL and key to your client's MCP configuration following that client's format.
• Clients discover available tools via mcp_capabilities and skills_search, or you can ask in plain language.
